Short Infosys, target Rs 1800: Amit Harchekar

Amit Harchekar – Chief Technical Strategist at APLUS Analytics recommends shorting Infosys as the stock may test Rs 1800.

Amit Harchekar – Chief Technical Strategist at APLUS Analytics told CNBC-TV18, "Yesterday  Infosys  has seen a massive build up of short positions, though open interest inched up by nearly 33 lakh shares. Earlier there was a long unwinding pressure which was projected a downside target somewhere around Rs 1,950."

"However, with buildup of short positions we believe that the downside could be further extended all the way towards Rs 1,700-1,750. So, we are recommending going short on Infosys even at current level with a stoploss of around Rs 2,040. We are expecting a target of around Rs 1,800 in the coming days," he added.
