What holds women back: Myth busters

Over the last 14 weeks CNBC-TV18's special show What Woman Really Want? have met, spoken with and tried to understand what women really want through the lives of over 70 women from various walks of life -entrepreneurs, CEOs, lawyers, scientist, social activist, bureaucrats and academics. In each of their stories, there was an attempt to unravel what it takes to chase a dream, what it takes to believe in one's self and negotiate life on one's own terms.

We don't live in an equal world and the rules of equality as we know them are actually gendered. A large proportion of women opt out of the workforce before they transition to the mid-level management.

The crisis remains unresolved because the crisis lies in our own minds, in the unconsciousness around issues that affect and matter to women.
